When invited to sign – Follow the link

If you have been added as a signing party through Scrive, you will receive a link to the document to be signed. Here’s how to add your signature:

  1. Follow the link in your invitation (received by email or SMS)
  2. Review the document and click “Next”
  3. Click “Sign” (drawing your signature with an input device is optional but not required for a legal signature)

You and the document sender will receive copies of the signed and archived document, and the process is done.

Technically, an electronic signature can be any type of electronic data that links the signing party to the agreement they are signing. For example, if a document includes a signature (intent) and a phone number (identity) but lacks evidence of integrity (such as a digital signature), you might not be able to legally enforce the terms of the contract if a dispute arises.
