Regular accessibility audits of our services and interfaces
What is the European Accessibility Act?
From the 28th of June 2025, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) comes into full effect, setting a common standard for accessibility across the EU. At Scrive, we’re ready and we’ve made sure that as a customer, you won’t need to take any action to remain compliant.
Accessibility has long been a core part of how we design, build and improve our services and that commitment will continue well beyond the EAA deadline.
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) is an EU-wide directive that aims to improve the accessibility of products and services across Member States by removing national-level inconsistencies and barriers.
It applies to a wide range of services and platforms, including software, e-signing workflows, e-commerce, banking, and digital communications, and is particularly focused on ensuring access for users with disabilities.
The EAA is built on standards such as:
EN 301 549
The European standard for accessibility in ICT (Information and Communications Technology)
WCAG 2.1 AA
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

Accessibility is a continuous journey
The EAA marks an important milestone, but accessibility is not simply a checkbox, it’s an ongoing process of learning, improving, and adapting. At Scrive, we take this very seriously.
Our commitment includes:
User testing and feedback, including from users with disabilities
Close collaboration with eID providers and partners to maintain inclusive experiences across integrations
A design philosophy that puts clarity, simplicity and usability first
