Using data already verified by institutions operating under some of the most rigorous KYC and data protection regulations, OneID allows you to instantly verify the identities of over 50 million UK citizens, without requesting any further information!
Using either document-free bank-verified data, eliminating the need for document uploads, or ID Scan where document-based identification is required, you get peace of mind and your customers rest assured knowing their data remains secure.
Whichever method you choose, you’ll reduce fraud risks, accelerate transactions, and create a seamless, compliant customer experience, whether during login, onboarding or signing.

With OneID now available in both Scrive eSign and Scrive eID Hub, businesses can offer UK users a trusted, compliant, and frictionless way to verify their identity, whether for signing agreements or authenticating online.
With OneID, you get:

Bank-based digital identity is already proven across the Nordics, where solutions like BankID and MitID enable millions of secure transactions every day.
Initially, these eIDs were primarily used for online banking and taxes but that’s not the case anymore. Now Nordic citizens use eIDs to access their local gym, buy tickets for public transport, verify their age and so much more, averaging at 3-4 uses per day per person!
Now, with OneID, UK businesses can benefit from the same trusted model, combining regulatory strength, convenience, and user familiarity in one streamlined experience.

OneID is ideal for banks, fintechs, and payment providers, credit and lending companies, subscription-based services requiring identity verification and more. Two of the reasons for that are:
Trusted signing experiences
Enhance security of digital agreements by leveraging bank-verified identities with signatures. Suitable for employment agreements, loan applications or real estate transactions, OneID ensure that every signature is verified and tied to an individual, reducing risk of fraud.
Faster, more secure logins
Reduce friction with instant, bank-based identity verification. Users log in seamlessly using their online banking credentials, improving both security and user experience.
Seamless onboarding
Speed up customer sign-ups and meet compliance requirements without manual document uploads. OneID verifies user identities in seconds, reducing drop-offs and administrative costs.

Integrating OneID into Scrive eSign brings bank-verified identity directly into the signing process, allowing UK users to authenticate and sign documents securely using the same trusted credentials they already use for online banking.
This means no unnecessary document uploads, no passwords, and no additional apps; just fast, secure verification that improves user experience and boosts completion rates.
Scrive eSign with OneID helps businesses across sectors meet compliance and fraud prevention requirements while creating a smooth signing experience for customers.
How it works:
When enabled, OneID authenticates signers in real time through their bank, returning verified identity data directly into the signing flow. The process is fully web-based and takes only seconds to complete.

For businesses integrating digital identity into broader customer journeys, Scrive eID Hub provides a single connection point to multiple eID providers, now including OneID.
With OneID, companies serving UK users can add secure, compliant authentication without new integrations or vendor agreements.
Scrive’s eID Hub provides two levels of OneID verification, allowing you to match security needs to risk levels:
OneID does not access that information but rather applies what is known as zero-knowledge proof. What that means is that rather than sending, for example, a scan of your passport to OneID or providing sensitive information, you effectively give OneID permission to ask your bank the simple question “Is this person who they say they are?”
What OneID gets back is a binary yes or no, simply verifying your identity without exposing any further information.
The short, simple answer is no.
Using OneID does not give them access to your online banking, your account or any other sensitive information the bank has about you. Part of what makes OneID such a good choice for ID verification is that instead of them storing all of that data, it’s all managed by the banks who have to comply with some of the most rigorous data security and KYC regulations in the world.
Because OneID uses bank-verified data and enables you to verify your identity using your online banking credentials, you’re effectively already onboarded if you have access to online banking.
